Well, this is the server that wouldn't die. So in the coming weeks I shall try and do some DNS tricks to make this answer for archive.subownsyou.com, we'll see.

Insurgency Mod
Wednesday 17 October 2007 - 20:54:17
Beta 2 is now under close scrutiny to make sure it's as good as we all expect (after all, we'd like to play the game too, you know...) Although everyone in the team is very busy, we've collected a few screenshots to let you know how things will look like after this massive update. In brief, here's some of what you'll get:
  • New Commander Promotion System*
  • New Weapon: M4A1 Assault Rifle with Front Grip (USMC)
  • New Weapon: AKS74U (Insurgents)
  • New Weapon: Al-Kadesiah Sniper Rifle (Insurgents)
  • New Weapon: SKS Simonov Self-Loading Carbine (Insurgents)
  • New Map: Ins_Samawah
  • New Player Customization and Weapon's Selection Systems
  • New Navigation Indicators**
  • New Overhead Map

*The New Commander Promotion System gives the best player in each team the chance of becoming Commander. He will be able to accept or deny the promotion. If he doesn't accept it, the next best player will get its chance to command its team.

**The New In-game Navigation Indicators will help you a great deal in navigating through the maps, finding objectives and following your commander's orders. You can see the new system in most of the following screenshots.

Thursday 16 August 2007 - 14:29:34

2K games has announced that they will publish the "Mad Max meets Diablo" game Borderlands, which is being developed by Brothers in Arms developer Gearbox. The game is described as an RPG-shooter with 4-player drop-in, drop-out co-op built in.

It will also feature what Gearbox calls a "groundbreaking content generation system" which will allow players to customize their own weapons, enemies, characters and missions.

"Borderlands represents an important evolutionary leap in game design and technology," said Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K in a press release. "By utilizing revolutionary new technology to create thousands of unique, randomly generated missions, weapons and situations, Borderlands will raise the bar for next gen action games."  Gearbox plans to release the game sometime late next year on the Platstation 3, Xbox 360 and Games For Windows platforms.

Kim Jong-il Kills Paris Hilton!!!
Friday 08 June 2007 - 15:17:23

At approximately 12:20 P.M. PST North Korea changed the world forever. Using a tiny advanced space missile that the world has yet to even wrap their mind around, the North Koreans showed of their firepower to the world by hitting the police cruiser carrying Paris Hilton as it was leaving the court house.
The launch point of the missile remains unknown although an anonymous source says the government thinks it is Nampo, North Korea. The blast of this tiny missile was only big enough to destroy the rear of the vehicel. No one else was injured.

Millions of fans gather outside the house of the wouldbe heiress saddened by the loss of their america icon. May she live on forever in her many sex videos found all over the internet.

Update: Reports are coming in from all over the world that people are trying to convince North Korea to use their "skank seekers" to take out other skanks like Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie. No word on if this may become a reality or not.

Starcraft II Announced!
Sunday 20 May 2007 - 22:36:11
After inspiring considerable speculation, Blizzard Entertainment reveals that StarCraft II is their promised new game announcement, as a sequel to their much-loved science fiction RTS game is in the works for Windows and Macintosh. No release date is set at this point, but after all these years there's finally something to see at Starcraft2.com, where there is artwork, information, a cinematic trailer and an artwork trailer, and promise of a gameplay trailer tomorrow. That promise aside, there are already two direct-feed trailers showing off actual gameplay on GameVideos, the first clip runs just under five minutes, and the second clip is a bit under four minutes. There are also additional screenshots on ToTheGame, and the cinematic trailer is mirrored on ComputerGames.ro, Gamer's Hell, and PixelRage, while the artwork trailer is mirrored on ComputerGames.ro, Gamer's Hell, and PixelRage. Here's the announcement of the game:
SEOUL, South Korea – May 19, 2007 – Blizzard Entertainment® today unveiled StarCraft® II, the sequel to its award-winning real-time strategy game StarCraft, at the 2007 Blizzard Worldwide Invitational event in Seoul, South Korea. The announcement took place inside the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, in front of thousands of attendees, who received a presentation that included a StarCraft II cinematic trailer and a gameplay demonstration by the development team.

Designed to be the ultimate competitive real-time strategy game, StarCraft II will feature the return of the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg races, overhauled and re-imagined with Blizzard’s signature approach to game balance. Each race will be further distinguished from the others, with several new units and new gameplay mechanics, as well as new abilities for some of the classic StarCraft units that will be making a reappearance in the game. StarCraft II will also feature a custom 3D-graphics engine with realistic physics and the ability to render several large, highly detailed units and massive armies on-screen simultaneously.

“With StarCraft II, we’ll be able to do everything we wanted to do with the original StarCraft and more,” stated Mike Morhaime, president and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We recognize that expectations are high following the long-running popularity of the original game, but we plan to meet those expectations and deliver an engaging, action-packed, competitive experience that StarCraft players and strategy gamers worldwide will enjoy.”

StarCraft II will include a unique single-player campaign, as well as fast-paced online play through an upgraded version of Blizzard’s renowned online gaming service, Battle.net®. In addition, the game will come with a powerful, full-featured map editor that will put the same tools used by Blizzard’s designers into the hands of players.

Blizzard is developing StarCraft II for simultaneous release on the Windows® and Macintosh® PC platforms. Further information about the game, including details on the single-player, multiplayer, and map-editor features, as well as system requirements, pricing, and availability, will be announced in the months ahead. To learn more about StarCraft II, please visit the official website at www.starcraft2.com.

OH NOES, ZOMBIES ATTACK THE US MILITARY!
Wednesday 18 April 2007 - 10:09:18
Security researchers have traced spam-sending botnet clients back to networks run by the US military.

Support Intelligence, the firm whose research on honeynets revealed that the networks of at least 28 Fortune 1000 companies contained malware-infected spam-spewing PCs, has found evidence of bots running behind military networks.

Rick Wesson, chief exec of Support Intelligence, said the firm's honeynet system has received Viagra spam from an IP address owned by the Randolph Airforce base. Support Intelligence has also observed bots - running IP addresses owned by the Directorate of Information Management - trying to connect to botnet command and control servers, evidence that PCs run by the directorate have become spam proxies under the control of hackers.
